Nicola Sturgeon has spoken in support of an SNP MP dealing with bullying allegations, insisting Joanna Cherry is a “massive asset” to her get together at Westminster.

The Scottish First Minister mentioned she spoke to Ms Cherry at the weekend right after the allegations emerged.

Ms Sturgeon dismissed the MP’s remarks on SNP infighting, denying this was a dilemma for the bash.
