The Brookfield Library will be swinging with jazz from Brian Q. Torff and New Duke on Sunday, June 23.
The free concert will start off at 4 p.m., with ice cream out there from 3:30 to 4. Temperature permitting, the live performance will get position on the North Lawn in the party of rain or extreme heat and humidity, the live performance will be held in the library’s Neighborhood Room. Provide lawn chairs or blankets.
New Duke is an eight-piece band influenced by the tunes of Duke Ellington. The band consists of 4 horns and a rhythm part, and characteristics vocalist Darryl Tookes. Musicians include things like Brian Q.Torff, bass and harmonica Darryl Tookes, vocals Ken Gioffre, tenor and baritone sax Rick Sadlon, alto sax and flute Freddie Maxwell, trumpet John Fumasoli, trombone Darren Litzie, keyboards and Greg Burrows, drums.
