The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will current The Nutmeg 2019 Summertime Dance Pageant at Torrington’s Warner Theatre on Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27.
An eclectic efficiency of classical and modern dance will be introduced by the students of The Nutmeg International Summer months Education system.
The Nutmeg Ballet is hosting 95 skillfully-oriented college students at its ongoing July ballet intensive (June 30 by way of July 27). Regional, countrywide and international learners master a extensive array of classical and modern choreography, staged by Nutmeg’s have artistic school and esteemed guest artists. Their artistry is then introduced onstage.
Nutmeg Ballet’s founding director is Sharon Dante and its artistic director is Victoria Mazzarelli. “This calendar year we will present excerpts of “Les Sylphides,” a romantic ballet at first choreographed by Mikhail Fokine to songs by Chopin, staged by Eleanor D’Antuono and Denise Warner-Limoli,” Mazzarelli claimed in an electronic mail. “It is an honor and privilege to have so many students participate in our summer intense.”
