Irish-Italian actress Aisling Franciosi has been dubbed by Vogue as the Breakout Star of this summer’s impartial movie, ‘The Nightingale’.
Franciosi performs 21-yr-aged Irish convict Clare despatched to Tasmania in the 1820s. The movie is directed by Babadook’s Jennifer Kent.
The 28-year-old’s functionality in The Drop together with Jamie Dornan earned her an IFTA for Most effective Actress in a Supporting Role back again in 2015.

The Dublin-born actress also played Lyanna Stark in Game of Thrones, and starred in a variety of theatre productions such as Tiny Women at The Gate Theatre.
Speaking to Vogue, the Trinity School alumna recalled moonlighting at the Cork Opera Home and Dublin’s Gate Theatre ahead of shifting to Tribeca in New York.
The Nightingale is expected to be produced in theatres August 2.
