A 63-year-aged person was hospitalized Friday with non-daily life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a box truck at a Vista intersection when in a wheelchair.
The crash was claimed shortly just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Thibodo Road, just south of state Route 78, San Diego Sheriff‘s Sgt. John Malan explained.
The guy was heading westbound in a motorized wheelchair when he attempted to cross Sycamore Avenue in the crosswalk and was struck by a 26-yr-outdated male driving a 10-foot box truck southbound on Sycamore Avenue, Malan explained.
The victim fell to the ground and broke his appropriate leg, the sergeant reported.
He was taken to Palomar Medical Middle for therapy of his injuries, which had been not believed to be existence-threatening, Malan reported.
The box truck driver remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. Intoxication was not thought to have been a issue in the crash, officials reported.
